April 2022 - The house structure is a Jansen vault: a reinforced vault two slabs and two beams

The reinforced brick vault forms the main family room, fostering a deep connection with the earth. This space opens southward to an excavated garden, while to the north, it offers sweeping views of the valley and the Mediterranean Sea.

The house’s structure is designed with a Jansen vault, calculated by engineer Juan de la Torre. This reinforced vault is supported along both long sides by two L-shaped reinforced concrete beams. Master vault builder Salvador Gomis constructed the two-layered reinforced vault on-site using handcrafted bricks made by the artisans at Cerámicas Antonio Alemán.
